WTF America - Box Office Top 10

You'd think it would be a sure thing that one of the most important films of the year, from one of the best directors out there (Paul Greengrass) would beat out the Robin Williams in an Winnebago movie . . . but no, we're living in Bizzaro-world times. So yes, "RV" got the top spot this weekend, despite the fact that everyone should have gone to see "United 93". Oh well, the terrorists have won.

Third spot goes to "Stick It", which stumbled the dismount a little, but definitely did better than it should have. "Silent Hill" is showing it's staying power, getting more money than the other "scary" movie, "Scary Movie 4". "The Sentinel" is still sticking around, showing that everyone likes Keiffer Sutherland protecting the nation. Maybe he should get a job with the CIA, fah-reals.

The bottom end of the countdown is populated by kids movies, movies starring kids, and movies about adults trying to beat kids . . . in sports. "Ice Age: The Meltdown" keeps printing money in the #7 sport, "Akeelah and the Bee" spells E-i-g-h-t-h S-p-o-t very nicely, "The Wild" has proven to be quite tame with a 9th spot showing this past weekend, and "The Benchwarmers" are running out of bench space. Expect that movie to drop off the radar this coming weekend.

1. RV - $16,400,00
2. United 93 - $11,605,000
3. Stick It - $11,255,000
4. Silent Hill - $9,300,00
5. Scary Movie 4 - $7,808,000
6. The Sentinel - $7,600,000
7. Ice Age: The Meltdown - $7,050,000
8. Akeelah and the Bee - $6,250,000
9. The Wild - $4,719,000
10.The Benchwarmers - $4,400,000

I can't believe anyone would see that peice of shit. If it can't pull a minute and half of good footage to make a trailor why would see and hour and a half of Robin Williams and his hairy back? AAAHHHHHHHH!
