I really haven't posted anything Hayden Panettiere related in a while. Mostly because the show that made her famous, "Heroes", probably won't come back until this fall TV season due to the writer's strike that crippled Hollywood for 2 months or so. She's currently working on a film called "Fireflies in the Garden", which should be retitled to "Camel Toes in the Sweatpants" . . . because I'd rather pay 10 bucks to see that. Well, if you're Heather Mills, then that's chump change. That's what she got as part of a divorce settlement from former Beatle's member, Paul McCartney. The divorce proceedings had been going on for a while and the courts finally gave in and awarded this one-legged gold digger that ginormous amount of cash. March Madness Search Terms

I was going to wait until the end of the month to post these up, but I got tired of compiling this, and I'm pretty strapped for content right now. So . . . desperate times. Nothing really out of the ordinary with these search terms. There are a couple of new search engines included in this list that I've never heard of. Like "Quicklex". WTF is that? And what is a "Strategic Board" and how does it search better than "Google" or any of the other popular search engines. Who knows. I don't really search for anything lately.

SkyNet is Next

Umm . . . this is how the machines rise up and take over the world, right? First, it starts with solving rubick's cubes, and then a Cyberdine Systems T-101 model is knocking on your door asking if you're "Sarah Connor". While slightly chilling, the "Tilted Twister" is fairly impressive. Built using only Lego's Mindstorms NXT retail kit, this thing first scans the cube, then totally solves it. It takes a while for the video to impress, but when it gets sped up at 2x speed, it's something awesome to behold. Opening Weekend Movies 3/14/2008

Doomsday - I know this movie looks like the height of ridicule, but goddammit, I want to see it. It looks appropriately kick-ass. The characters look like generic bad guys and tough bitches that take no shit from no one, which has all been done in the past. But it hasn't been done well lately. This movie, by the director of "The Descent" (freaking awesome movie) looks like a lot of fun. I'm sure critics are looking to tear this film a new one because it's not "No Country for Old Men"-type stuff, but there is a place for mindless entertainment. This should qualify it as that. Go watch this, turn off your brain, and enjoy.



Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who - I know why they're making this movie. It's just around the time that anyone that read this as a child is old enough to have kids that they want to share the experience with, and being that children nowadays are more receptive to moving pictures rather than books, it would seem like the perfect thing to take your kid to. Plus, it's got a couple of talented people lending their vocal likeness to the characters. It doesn't pull me in, because, frankly, I never read this particular Dr. Seuss tale when I was growing up. "Are you My Mother" was my absolute favorite, maybe because it was more real life than, say, something like "Cat in the Hat" or "Green Eggs and Ham".



Never Back Down - This is like this millennium's "Karate Kid". Except, everyone's buffer and Mr. Miyagi is a black dude. But other than that, pretty much the same thing. New guy in town gets his ass handed to him. He trains with someone that kicks ass but chooses not to fight, and gets the girl in the end after having a big-time showdown with the guy that previously kicked his ass. Looks entertaining, but I'm already watching one mindless thing this weekend. No space for two.

Sienna Miller vs. Ocean . . . . Everyone Wins

Sienna Miller should just give up trying to cover up her naked skin. Eventually, something like this happens. And, apparently, it happens all the time to her. This last instance involves the ocean, who happens to be determined to take her bikini bottoms off. I don't even have anything else to say about this. Amy Winehouse Skin Disease Update

So, Amy Winehouse, the healthiest woman in the UK, recently got diagnosed with the skin disease "Impetigo", which explains those bumps on her face she's desperately trying to cover up with layer upon layer of make-up. I think the ridiculous eye-shadow she wears is also supposed to draw attention from the sores on her face. But, what exactly is impetigo? Let's drop some knowledge on you:

Impetigo starts as a red sore that quickly ruptures, oozes for a few days and then forms a yellowish-brown crust that looks like honey or brown sugar. The disease is highly contagious, and scratching or touching the sores is likely to spread the infection to other parts of the body as well as to other people.

Does anyone need any other reason to put this woman in a padded cell? She's toxic. Don't let her touch you if you see her coming down the street. Unless you're wearing a haz-mat bio suit. That's the only safe way to interact with Amy Winehouse now. Oh, and apparently, impetigo makes you stand like this as well.
