October Search Terms - Spooky for Another Reason

This month's search terms are a little on the spooky side, although it skews to creepy as always. Seriously, you guys (and possibly girls) should really get this obsession with sick shit out of your systems one day. I mean, I know the interwebs was invented for porn, but some of the things that are being searched would offend a person of more sensitive morals. Brad Renfro, 1982 - 2008

I just read Brad Renfro passed away within the past couple of days. I don't remember liking much of what he did as an actor, but I do remember the movie "Apt Pupil" being extremely good. TMZ.com has more info about this:

The 25-year-old actor was found dead at his Los Angeles home this morning. The cause of death has not been determined, however, Renfro had a history of drug abuse.

Sources tell us Renfro, who had starring roles in "The Client" and "Apt Pupil" had been working valiantly to stay clean, especially since this summer. Renfro had been convicted of several drug offenses, including attempted heroin possession.

Renfro had been filming a movie with Winona Ryder and Billy Bob Thornton. The movie, "The Informers," just wrapped.

Renfro has had a rough time personally since moving from Tennessee to Los Angeles. His parents split, and we're told he did not have real guidance from adults as he tried navigating the treacherous movie industry.

I don't do much posts about people dying, because . . . it's not something that I find funny, so, I'm not making any jokes here. Check out his filmography here at his IMDB page. I really hope the makers of "The Informers" keep it classy and don't include this in their marketing for the movie. 'Cause that, would be teh suck.

XBOX 360 Withdrawal

It's Sunday evening. I should be playing videogames. But, instead, I'm sitting here, writing about how much I miss my XBOX 360. Fuck. I dropped it off at UPS Friday morning. As it sat on their counter, I looked at it, longingly. I put my hand on one of the corners of the box that held my prized gaming possession. I patted the side, and, without actually vocalizing it, I wished it a safe trip to Texas.

Microsoft better get that fixed quick. I'm thinking about calling them up and see if they can compensate my somehow for the time I'm missing (or wasting) on my XBOX Live membership. I'm paid up through April of '08, so if they can add some time to the end of my subscription to make up for this, it would be great. Or some Microsoft points so I can use it on their Live Marketplace would suffice as well. Something, anything, to instill a new sense of confidence in Microsoft . . . but then again, it's Microsoft. They'd as easily laugh at me and just tell me to stop bitching. But if enough people make a fuss, it would be in their interest to keep the masses happy.

But if they offer me a Zune, it will be I who will laugh in their corporate faces. Zune . . . pfft.

TuGMO - Gray Matters

This week's Tuesday Girl Make-Out (so that's where the TuGMO comes from) comes courtesy of the upcoming film "Gray Matters". And what is this movie about? Who cares. It has Heather Graham and Bridget Moynahan making out like two liquored up college girls on spring break. Which, is fine by me. Oh, and by the way, Heather Graham and I share the same reaction to whenever Bridget Moynahan makes out with us. I mean, how does she keep tricking me into it. Damn Hollywood actresses. Techno-Addiction - iPod Shuffle

My wife and I bought each other iPod Shuffles for Valentine's Day this past weekend. And yes, we have been using them since. Hey, it's a fake holiday invented by Oprah Winfrey and Hallmark . . . the hell we're going to adhere to the actual date of to give each other our presents. But seriously, who could wait to get their hands on these tiny wonders. I'm listening to my silver one (Heather got the green one . . . because of her Irish pride. No, they did not have a beer-colored one) right now as I write this post, and it makes the time go by much faster while responding to technical support e-mails. It almost makes me want to not punch my computer screen every time I open up a message from another incompetent anti-virus user.

So, tech specs? Um, it holds 1 GB of music. No screen, but that is by design. The iPod Shuffle mixes your music for you and never throws out the same play list twice at you. It is thin, just a little larger than 1/2 of my thumb (it goes from the tip to just past the knuckle) and it is infinitely cooler than anything Creative Labs has to offer. Like I told my associate, Mike V., who moonlights as a rep for them . . . "If this thing had an FM tuner like the ones your company tries to sell, it'd be as big as a beeper. Who needs that?" He just laughed, and called it the Anti-Christ.

TuGMO - Looks like Softcore

This video is a little soft-core porn'ish . . . but fuck if it isn't one of the sexier videos I've found yet. Sure, the chicks kissing remain clothed for the entire time, but they're groping and writhing in each others arms. And they occasionally massage each other's crotches. That's why I'm posting this. I really had no idea who this was up until a couple of months ago. I don't watch much UK television programming. Mostly due to the fact that I live in the United States, and the BBC can be a pompous bitch sometimes. Girl Fight Fridays - Beach Brawlin'

Bikinis and chicks. Two great tastes that go great together. But, when you add fighting to the mix, it's almost like you've achieved Nirvana . . . minus the shotgun in the mouth feeling. The only disappointing thing about this video is just how short this is. At 22 seconds, while you get a lot of fighting, it could have gone on for 22 minutes and I would have been just as enthralled. It even has a third girl (also in a bikini) come up and undo the top of one of the combatants. That chick knew what the crowd wanted. I think she should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. I'm really tired of seeing that trophy go to really old men in lab coats. If you were to put a stodgy old scientist next to a chick in a bikini, I think you'd know who would win that contest. HDH - Keely Hazell

There's a pretty high likely-hood that you've never heard of Keely Hazell. That is, unless you read a lot of British magazines. She's big over there. I can see why. But, just 'cause she's not hard on the eyes is not why she's the "Hump Day Hottie" for this week. Nope. There's another underlying, and more homegrown reason why. What is it? Amateur porn. Girl Fight Fridays - Sunday Morning Edition

Yeah, I forgot to post this last Friday. So what. I was busy. But, it's Sunday morning, I'm at the office doing some much-needed overtime (needed by both my bank-account and the company) and I have a little break. Thought I'd rectify the oversight. I did find quite the satisfying 1+ minute girl fight though. These two are really going at it. It's more than just hair pulling. These bitches are punching each other in the face and pinning the other to the ground. Sadly, no tops were ripped off. Oh well, you can't always get everything in one of these.

Left 4 Dead

I was pretty disappointed by the fact that "Dead Rising" would not play on my XBOX 360. But, I'm not going to be a cry-baby about it. I don't have an HDTV set, so I probably would not have been able to read the text that looks smudgy on standard resolution television sets. But, a new zombie game is coming down the pipe. It's called "Left 4 Dead", and it's from Turtle Rock Studios. It uses the Source engine for the graphics, and you can check their still-in-construction site here for future updates like game-play videos and character profiles. You know, the standard stuff these sites usually have. If you want to see the first official trailer for the game, head out to Gamespot's page for the game to access a pretty cool video. I just hope this makes its way to the 360. Despite some problems some users might have had with "Dead Rising", it still sold pretty well. Which means there's a market for zombie games on consoles. Get cracking Turtle Rock Studios. Port that shit over so us console players can get a taste.

HDH - Amy Smart

Ah, the "Hump Day Hottie" returns this week, and it brings Amy Smart into BAFW. She's been in a ton of movies, usually playing the approachable but hot and completely out of anyone's league girl. My wife made me watch that "Just Friends" movie a couple of weeks ago . . . you know, Ryan Reynolds in a fat suit . . . and she was pretty much one of the only tolerable parts of the movie. That, and Anna Farris eating toothpaste. That was pretty fucking funny too. Amy Smart was supposed to star in a show that should have either come out already, or is coming out towards the end of the current television season. The show, titled "Smith", is kind of like last year's "Heist" . . . but with Amy Smart. So, you can see how it is totally original in concept. You can also see her in last year's adrenaline-fueled, and fun as hell movie, "Crank" with Jason Statham. Which, is, coincidentally, out on DVD. It's like some publicist paid me to post this entry . . . ahem . . . ahem. Hello, where's my pimping your client money? Goddamit, Hollywood's a bitch.
