Let Me In Trailer
"Let Me In" is the American remake of the superb Swedish vampire movie "Let the Right One In", which in itself was adapted from a novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist (you should take a few days to check that out as well). Now that you know all of that, let's just say that it looks pretty true to the original, but in ways, different than the original. Mostly due to the casting and a spoiler I won't reveal from the original. But the casting will have a huge impact on that, so until I get to see the movie, I'll keep it pretty hush hush. Unless you've seen the original yourself, you'll know what I'm talking about. Check out the trailer. The movie is directed by the guy that brought us "Cloverfield" and stars the Hit-Girl from "Kick-Ass".

Daybreakers Trailer
The Spierig Brothers, directors of the rather fun but ultimately uneven Australian zombie flick "Undead", are back, this time taking on vampires in their latest film titled "Daybreakers". From the looks of this trailer, it would appear that they got some quality actors this time around for their futuristic look at a world overrun by bloodsuckers. Check out the trailer. The movie should be coming out soon. Not exactly sure when it comes out. I've been out of the loop lately when it comes to movie premier dates. But, I'm sure you can do a Google search or something. Sheesh, do I have to do everything for you?

Thirst'y for a Red Band Trailer
"Thirst" is the latest from Park Chan-Wook, director of "Oldboy", and it looks pretty fucking amazing. This, along with "Let the Right One In" are doing much more for the vampire horror sub-genre than any "Twilight" movie is. In fact, I think the "Twilight" phenomenon is diluting what a vampire movie should be all about. Check out the trailer, courtesy of IGN, and get ready for this movie, which is coming out at the end of July.

Mutant Zombie Vampires from the Hood Trailer?
This kind of reminds me of "Gangs of the Dead", and to tell you the truth, it doesn't look too promising. But, it might end up being like a low-budget awesome-fest. In any case, it's got C. Thomas Howell, and if you're asking yourself: "Who is C. Thomas Howell?", then the 80's would like to say: "Fuck off and show some respect. Goddamn whipper snappers". Check out the trailer.

Robo-Poster #2 - Let the Right One In Trailer
"Let the Right One In" is a Swedish movie, but don't let it's foreign origin deter you from seeking this one out. It's already out in limited release. The story focuses on a reserved and oft-picked on 12 year old who befriends another 12 year old who just happens to be a vampire. Sure, there are subtitles involved, but they're not that hard to keep up with. I mean, it's got to be easier to follow the subtitles than to try to put IKEA furniture together. BAFW is highly recommending this, without even watching it. The trailer is that strong.

30 Days of Night Trailer
30 Days of Night is a great comic book (which I have yet not read) from Steven Niles and Dark Horse comics which is getting the big Hollywood treatment. From the looks of the trailer, it's looking pretty good. Disregard the vampires wearing trench coats and this just might be the vampire movie of 2007. Not that there are many others coming out this year with that particular subject matter . . . but you know what I mean. This is from the director of "Hard Candy" which came out last year. A movie that I loved because it was ballsy as can be. I mean, how often do you get to see a teenage girl faking castration on a pedophile just to fuck with his head. I will definitely try to drag my wife to go see this when it comes out. I just have to convince her that the vampires are actually zombies.
Get your download or streaming action on over at the IGN website which is currently hosting the video. I would host it, but it's a pain in the ass to upload. Besides, why take up my bandwidth when you can take up theirs . . . right?
