Chloe Sevigny Gets Bikini'd

In case you were wondering what "Big Love" co-star Chloe Sevigny looks like when she's not decked out in "Little House on the Prairie"ish Mormon inspired garb, here she is in a bikini. Quite the difference. And that's pretty much all I have for this post. Well, there's the other picture below, that has some cleavage, which is note-worthy on its own, but apart from that . . . nothing. "Big Love" starts its 3rd season this coming January. Make sure to catch it. It's actually pretty good. But don't expect Chloe Sevigny to look like this on the show.

HBO Kills "Preacher" - God Gets his Revenge

HBO didn't actually kill a preacher. Rather, it ended production of a televised adaptation of Garth Ennis's epic Vertigo Comics series "Preacher" that was just about ready to start shooting in the near future. Mark Steven Johnson (of "Punisher" infamy) was set to direct, and here's what he has to say about the whole bloody affair:
"We were budgeting and everything and it was getting really close to going," Johnson told The Comics Continuum. "But the new head of HBO felt it was just too dark and too violent and too controversial. Which, of course, is kind of the point!

"It was a very faithful adaptation of the first few books, nearly word for word. They offered me the chance to redevelop it but I refused. I've learned my lesson on that front and I won't do it again. So I'm afraid it's dead at HBO."
If anyone at Showtime is getting wind of this, fucking pick up this series. This would go great with "Dexter" and "Weeds" and all of your other original series (there's just no way to pluralize that word, is there?). Pretty please?

*"God gets his revenge" is a rather spoiler'y reference to something that happens in the comic series. It would do you good to buy all 10 volumes of "Preacher", you know, so you could get with the program.

**For someone who's supposed to be on vacation, I'm not doing a great job of relaxing. Just couldn't help myself when I saw this before heading out on vacation. So, that post where I said I wouldn't be posting much of anything for the next couple of days from a couple of days ago . . . let's forget that ever happened.

Adrian Grenier is Generous

I pretty much lost much of my interest in HBO's "Entourage" after last season. That show's all about being and embracing Hollywood douchebagery. So, it doesn't surprise me when I see this video of Adrian Grenier generously giving a homeless street musician a whole quarter and the peace sign. He then shortly offers the cameraman a thousand dollars to buy the tape off of him. But, he doesn't have his wallet. Seriously Grenier? A quarter? You should have told the homeless guy not to spend it all at once.

"Who is that guy?" - Star Sighting

Yesterday, while picking up a couple of packages of taquitos at Trader Joe's, I saw a guy going through the aisles, and while I don't usually notice guys at grocery stores, this one I knew I had seen somewhere but I couldn't place him. I knew it was something to do with television, but for the life of me I could not remember what show this guy was on. I turned to Heather as we were walking down the frozen foods aisle and said: "When we turn this corner, take a look at the guy with the black shirt, and tell me where he's from". She looked at me and nodded, and as we turned the corner and made a pass by him, she took a good look at him.

We turned into another aisle, and as soon as we knew we were out of earshot, she turned to me and said. "Yeah, I know that guy . . . but where is he from?!" I replied with an "I know, that's why I was asking you to get a good look at him". We made our way to the register and kept trying to figure out who this guy was. On our way home, which was only a couple of blocks, we kept trying to figure out where we had seen this guy. We knew he was on a show, which we watch regularly, but still, we could not remember. When we got home, we still kept trying to figure it our. Heather even had me scour IMDB's photo archive to see if I could find him . . . but without a name, it's a near impossible task.

I had given up , but Heather's obsessive tendencies took control of her and she went through all the major network's websites, looking at the shows we like while I played a couple of levels of "Halo 3". An hour later, she gave up, fruitless in her efforts.

Later that night, as we were watching the premier episode of "Chuck" or this week's episode of "Eureka", I don't quite remember . . . out of nowhere, it dawned on Heather. This mystery guy from television, this guy we had spent most of our afternoon dwelling on, plays Joey Hendrickson on HBO's "Big Love". The show about polygamists living in Utah, which just had it's second season finale a couple of weeks ago. This totally relieved the both of us, because knowing our compulsive tendencies, we would have totally lost sleep over it. The guy's name is Shawn Doyle by the way, in case you were wondering. And yes, you should check out the past couple of seasons worth of "Big Love". It's a great show.

John Rambo Footage

This is not so much a trailer as it is a selection of scenes that "Aintitcool.com" was able to get from Sylvester Stallone's next resurrection project, "John Rambo". I know it's not the trailer because there's enough gore and almost rape in it that would not be shown during a trailer reel for any of the summer blockbuster movies slated for release. Although, I could see it as a pre-cursor to a "Grindhouse" type of movie. It does have that feel. Specially that scene where he lops of the dude's head on the mounted machine gun on the Jeep, and then he turns it on the driver, and makes quite the mess. I did not watch Stallone's latest "Rocky" movie, but seeing this now, I might rethink that and actually record it whenever it hits HBO or Showtime.

Nipple-Topia - Emmanuelle Chriqui

I watch "Entourage" on a regular basis. It's not my favorite show, but, since it's on HBO, there's almost always a partial guarantee that there will be nipples and asses on screen, as the guys on the show like to party it up . . . all the time. So, it's only reasonable, that the female stars (and thankfully not the pregnant PR-lady) were to show up at an event and show the anxious papparazzi a little somethin-something. Emmanuelle Chriqui is pictured to the right, and below, looking not too shabby, and I think that's because she forgot her bra at home. This is the kind of sideboob that people want to see. The kind with a nipple attached to it. Enjoy the nip-slip below, and make sure to watch "Entourage" whenever it comes out this month. Maybe the show's producers should have written that on the side of her exposed boob. That would have been a true example of smart-vertising.
