Hybrids Get Badass

Looks like Honda and Toyota will be running with their tail-pipes between their legs (or wheels, since cars don't have legs) when this fucking awesome Lamborghini "Estoque" hits the auto markets in the near future. Yes, that's a Lamborghini. Wouldn't you rather drive that instead of a Prius? I know I would. Price point on this car is currently speculated at around $200,000 . . . but come on, saving the world ain't cheap. Wired has all the specs over at their blog network. I could go back there and re-post it here, but I'm too busy drooling over this automotive piece of art. Check it out and start saving some money.

Mac OSX: Leopard

If you've been thinking about switching from that piece of crap Windows based PC, to an Apple based operating system, I don't think there's a better time. I'm not making a sales pitch, but the new version of OSX is coming out in a couple of days, and from watching the preview over at the Apple website, it has totally blown my mind. Here I thought that my current Mac operating system was superior to that new Windows Vista system. Leopard just widens that gap. I could go on and on, but you can check out the video here. You'll need Quicktime, and a high speed connection. That page is for the large version of the video. I specially can't wait to mess around with "Time Machine" and "Spaces" . . . and the new "Finder" is so much better improved. But, I'm just rambling now. Leopard will come pre-installed with any new Mac computer you buy after 2 days from now. And hey, you can access the Apple store using that conveniently placed banner ad at the top of this blog. Hmm . . . how'd that get there anyway.

I guess I was making a sales pitch all along.

Still Drooling - Apple iPhone in Action

Goddamn it . . . I need this phone. And I need a new computer. I hope I get my settlement money soon, 'cause I totally need some of this cellphone action. Hmm . . . that reminds me, I have to call the lawyers. Anyway, check out this video and drool over just how uncool this phone makes your phone look.

iPhone Dials up my Interest

Well, the time has finally come. The iPhone from Apple is revealed . . . and it indeed does not have buttons. It also does not look like the previously leaked image that can be found in that perma-link there. So, the information was a little off. Who cares, look at that thing. It runs OSX, aka - what Windows Vista wants so badly to be. It's 11 mm thick. That's millimeters. Get metric already. That's 1.1 centimeters thin, or, if you want to use the British measurement scale, it translates to roughly "thinner than anything out there". So, how do you use it? Well, it will have a stylus-free, multi-finger touchscreen interface. It contains motion-sensors to detect orientation. So if you hold it sideways, the display will flip to accommodate you. Automatically senses when you put it to your ear and turns off sound and picture. It connects with your iPod, and syncs with iTunes to show video and pictures and play MP3s. Allows real-time scrolling of music either stored on the phone or through connected iPod. And, it senses ambient light levels and adjusts display to optimum quality. It also gives Jaimes multiple orgasms when you put it up to their ear(s). So, there it is. Who's getting one?

UPDATE!
OMG OMG OMG. This picture is much better than my original picture, and can be found as part of Gizmodo's MacWorld coverage. Thanks to Ryan for bringing that to my attention. This cellphone's like the 2nd coming of Jesus.

Calling all Mac-Addicts - iPhone?

While I'm not big on cell-phones (why do they work everywhere except your own home?!), this leaked, potential design for the long-rumored iPhone is intriguing. I mean, no buttons? Is it as big as a Nano? What gives? It looks much nicer than my current LG cellphone, but just how much is Apple expecting its rabid fan-base (I include myself in that category) to pay for this? So many questions. I'll be making a phone call this weekend. Part wishing someone a merry X-mas, and part information gathering.
