The Wolfman Trailer

"The Wolfman" trailer just hit Yahoo!, and after viewing it, I'm kind of glad someone's not making another vampire or zombie flick right now. There seems to be an over-saturation of that going on. And, the werewolf in this movie doesn't look like a cuddly puppy like the ones featured in the fantastically pussyfied "Twilight" books/movies. This movie will be coming out next February. It stars some pretty solid actors: Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Hugo Weaving and Emily Blunt. Should be a pretty good movie. I like that it's a period piece. Check out the trailer for yourself.

Newest Transformers Trailer

I did not go see the newest "Friday the 13th" movie which had this trailer running prior to it, so I had to wait until yesterday to check it out over at the Yahoo! movies website. And now, YouTube has it. And not just a handycam version of it. The trailer is a series of money shots that doesn't really give me much as far as what the movie will be about. But it also tells me that the movie is going to have some impressive visuals. That, and did the Decepticons get bigger? I'm getting a larger sense of scale from the images in this trailer. In any case, I guess we'll all find out later this year when the movie hits theaters. Until then, check out the trailer. I mean not all the time. I don't want you just sitting here and watching the video over and over again. That would be stupid.

Yahoo's Exclusive Hancock Trailer

"Hancock" is due to hit theaters July 2nd. I'm pretty excited about it. Looks like a fun, superhero romp. Plus, Will Smith seems to be getting better in his choices as of late. I loved (despite the weak CGI) "I Am Legend", and this movie looks like it might be right up my alley. This exclusive Yahoo trailer shows you a little more of the movie than the regular trailers. It includes tossing a kid into the air. Pretty hilarious.

Opening Weekend Movies - 2/29/2008

Semi-Pro - Is there any doubt in your mind that you won't be waking up to this movie Monday being the #1 movie in America? At least the #1 comedy in America. Everything Will Ferrell does lately just ends up being loved by the mass populace. To tell you the truth, while this movie looks like it could illicit a laugh or two from me, it's not enough to make me want to go see it. But I'll rent it when it comes out on DVD, kind of like "Blades of Glory", which I almost rented last weekend. Almost . . . I just couldn't get myself to rent an ice-skating movie. "The Cutting Edge"* just killed the whole sub-genre for me.

The Other Boleyn Girl - Period peaces bore me to tears. But this movie has Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson in it. I'm conflicted. Those are two of the hottest, screen-melting women on the planet. And they're stuck in this movie where they play sisters? Couldn't they be lesbian lovers? Only in a perfect world. Oh yeah, Eric Bana is in this as well. Did I mention that he cinematically beds both of them. Did I also mention that I know hate Eric Bana.

Penelope
- Look at how ambiguous the Yahoo! movie page's description for this film is:
Christina Ricci is a woman suffering from a "curse" who sets out to free herself of a life-long bad luck streak and find her true self.
The "curse" is that she has a pig's snout for a nose. I think "Bubble Boy"** is a deeper movie than this. That was another movie about a voyage of self-discovery. But, I guess it could be argued that, even with a prosthetic pig nose, Christina Ricci is still hotter than Jake Gyllenhaal.

*When was the last time you heard of the movie "The Cutting Edge" . . . whoa, hello nostalgia.

**"Bubble Boy" rocks!!

Search Terms - Googleless

For the past month or so I've been trying to compile a Googleless list of search terms. I have come to realize that this task is pretty friggin' hard. I mean, a month and this is all I could find? I had an idea about how many people use Google to find their way around the internet . . . but man. Tons of people use Yahoo and AOL every day, but the bulk of the searches coming in to this site are from Google. As for the list itself . . . nothing too surprising.
