The Walking Dead Photographed

"The Walking Dead", arguably one of the best zombie comic books out there, has been in production over at AMC, the fine studio that brought everyone "Mad Men" and "Breaking Bad" and they also have Frank Darabont on the job, the genius behind "The Shawshank Redemption" and "The Mist". It's currently shooting on location in Atlanta, Georgia, and these pictures were taken there. It's looking pretty cool. I can't wait to see these zombies shambling around on my television. I've always thought that the only thing missing from TV was more zombie action. Here are a couple of more pictures from the set. Enjoy.

This last picture is of Andrew Lincoln, who is playing the part of Rick Grimes, the protagonist from the comics. This looks just like the comics. I love that. Please make sure you watch the 6 episode run they've got when it hits AMC so we can get more of this kind of programming.

The Walking Dead Shamble Over to AMC

"The Walking Dead" has to be one of my all time favorite zombie stories out there. The fact that it's still going in comic book form (I just wait for the TPB) is fantastic. Hollywood has taken note of Robert Kirkman's intricate and painfully brutal story and a network that could do it justice has taken interest. AMC, home of "Mad Men", wants to put Frank Darabont (The Mist, Shawshank Redemption) in charge of raising the dead . . . on TV. AICN, the place where this miracle of news found me, has a link over to Variety where you can read more about the deal. I personally can't wait to see this.

If you also want to get a bit encyclopedic, head on over to this wiki page for some knowledge.

Megan Fox Looking to Expand Nerd Fanbase

I'm starting to think that Megan Fox is a pretty shrewd business-woman. She pretty much recognizes who will be supporting her career. Nerds and geeks. Which is why she's attached herself to projects that attract huge quantities of geekdom. "Transformers" and it's upcoming sequel are an example of this. But some of her next projects show that she doesn't mind being ogled by nerds of any kind.

She just signed on to play the main lead in the comic book movie adaptation of Aspen Comic's "Fathom". Which, has the added bonus of her being wet for most of the time. I used to read this comic book back when it came out. I can't really say much about the story. Kind of like Aquaman/Namor, but with boobs, and she didn't have much of a costume . . . unless you call a skimpy bikini a costume. But getting Megan Fox for this part seems like pretty dead on casting.

She has another upcoming project, also comic book related. She'll be playing the romantic interest in the adaptation of the "Jonah Hex" comic, which is kind of a western, so instead of swimsuits, expect corsets, which some might find appealing as well.

**Update - Post now with 50% tamer Megan Fox picture. I guess Photobucket keeps getting its panties in a bunch when it sees Megan Fox in bra & panties combo. I know, fucking weak-sauce. But, what can I do.

***Re-Update - Post now with 100% tamer Megan Fox picture. Fuck you Photobucket!

Hugh Jackman Explains Wolverine Re-Shoots via E-mail to AICN

I had been reading that the new X-Men movie, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", was undergoing extensive re-shoots in Vancouver, Canada. There was speculation that since Fox would be winning a settlement over the distribution rights to the upcoming "Watchmen" movie, this influx of fresh cash from Warner Bro's was allowing for Fox to add some more badass'ery to the Wolverine movie. Apparently, that is not so. Here's Hugh Jackman's e-mail to Harry Knowles, of Ainticool.com.
Hey Mate- Would you mind posting this? Thank you for your support! HJ

Hey everyone -

It's Hugh Jackman, sending this note from freezing Vancouver. I have read a lot of your online comments regarding the footage that we are currently shooting and I share your passion for the Wolverine character and the movie - I owe it all to you guys!

I wanted to reach out and let you know that due to scheduling conflicts with certain cast members and location/weather considerations, we had to wait until now to shoot a couple of scenes. Please rest assured that WOLVERINE will be badass and hopefully meet all of your expectations. I am stoked by the positive response to the teaser, which clearly reflects the tone and scope of the film. If you like that, we've got much more in store!

In the meantime, here's an exclusive shot of some characters you may recognize...

Cheers,

Hugh
He also included the picture that is re-posted below.

Click on the picture to see it get berserker rage big, snickity snickt! And, in case you haven't been to a movie theater lately, or just heard of the internets, the teaser trailer for "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" is below.

New Advertiser Welcome Mat - TFAW

I love everything comics related. So, it only makes sense to me, and that's really the only one it should make sense to, that I partner up with a comics and comic-book related merchandiser in an effort to pull in the "sit around in my underpants while you people click on ads and actually buy stuff so I don't have to go to work everyday" money. So, nerds of the world who are not into all of the clever t-shirt merchandisers I have partnerships with, your time has come. Head on out there to "Things From Another World" (or TFAW for short) and start buying anything from toys, to comics, to graphic novels, to even t-shirts. You know you want to rock that Punisher skull t-shirt in an ironic sort of way. This way, you can put a couple of bucks in my pocket in the process. It's win-win.

Butt Pirates of the Caribbean

Oh, the internets is the place to go when you want your latest Disney money-maker turned into something dirty and depraved. Case in point, these pictures of Sinful Comic's latest release which adapts last summer's blockbuster event, "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Curse" into something a little less family friendly. Here, you have Keira Knightly, Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom immortalized in comic book form getting it on menage-a-trois style. Certainly something that did not appear in the cut of the movie that Disney released. So, where do you go to satiate your want for dirty pictures of stars that did not actually happen outside of a comic book panel . . . well, check out Fleshbot for more pictures and of course, feel free to head out to Sinful Comic's website for more most definately not approved images. In case you hadn't already realized, this is NSFW.
