Kick Ass new Kick-Ass Clip
"Kick-Ass" has had some great buzz thanks to the hype the source material had when it came out via comic book form. But, it's had a bit of a bumpy ride towards getting made, so much so that the film itself didn't have a distribution deal until just a few months ago when people started to see the finished product. Even with Nicolas Cage involved (I find myself saying this often now) I want to see this movie. Sadly, while this clip does give us a rather dangerous but almost sweet father-daughter moment, it doesn't have any McLovin in it. Yes, that kid from "Superbad" and "Role Models" is in this movie as well, and he plays a super-hero. Check out the clip, and get ready for some ass kicking come next year when the film is due to be released.

Robo-Poster - End of November #2
Adventureland trailer in HD
If you enjoyed "Superbad", and were wondering what the director had lined up next, then the trailer for "Adventureland" should answer that question. It doesn't look as funny as "Superbad", but it looks like a movie someone could take their wife/girlfriend to, when she gets her romantic-comedy craving, that won't make the normal human male claw his eyes out. Check out the trailer, courtesy of MySpace. Isn't that one of those social-networking sites? Sign me up for the anti-social networking site. You know, when someone invents it.

Jimmy Kimmel is doing what with Ben Affleck?
A couple of weeks ago, Sarah Silverman showed off the video she made with Matt Damon. It was a little parody where she jokingly went on about having sex with Matt Damon. Well, it's time for Jimmy Kimmel to fire back . . . and it looks like his budget was a little bigger than Silverman's. He's got Ben Affleck, Brad Pitt, Don Cheadle, Robin Williams, Dominic Monaghan, Harrison Ford, Christina Applegate, Cameron Diaz and that kid that played McLovin in "Superbad". I know there are a ton more people in this that are famous, but I didn't know their names. Enjoy the video.

Juno Trailer
Powered by AOL Video
Last year I thoroughly enjoyed "Thank You For Smoking", director Jason Reitman's funny look at the tobacco industry. His next film, titled "Juno", deals with teen pregnancy and has a pretty solid cast. Ellen Page (Hard Candy), Michael Cera (Superbad), Justin Bateman (Arrested Development) and many others populate the cast of this quirky comedy/drama which I'm sure I'll be watching when it comes out in theaters. And, even if, for some reason I change my mind down the line, I'm sure my wife will drag me to this regardless. It's looking pretty solid right now, so I don't think it should be a problem. Check out the trailer.

Opening Weekend Movies - 8/17/07
Invasion - This, I'm pretty sure but I haven't checked yet, is a remake of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers". It stars Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig, and while it looks somewht interesting, I'm not hearing great things about it. It might do well in theaters this weekend, but I'm thinking another movie will be stealing it's invasioning thunder.
The Last Legion - I haven't really heard much about this movie other than it's about a young Roman emperor who embarks on a perilous journey to find the last legion who is loyal to the empire. And that's just what I read at the Yahoo! movies page. It could be interesting, but again, it's going to be eclipsed by something else that's opening this weekend . . . and no, it's not going to be "Invasion"
Superbad - This is the movie to watch this weekend. It's an R-rated teen comedy with plenty of swearing and adult situations, which is just what this summer movie season needs. Plus, Michael Cera is hilarious. I've been wanting to see him in a movie for quite sometime after "Arrested Development" was yanked off the air by FOX (those bastards!). This is what my wife and I are watching this weekend, hopefully not with a movie crowd that constitutes the lowest common denominator of the movie-going public . . . much like the crowd we watched the "Simpsons Movie" with a couple of weeks back. Nothing ruins a movie more than a bunch of morons that think they can talk throughout the whole screening. Fuck I hate people.

Superbad Clip
Why do I want to see "Superbad" so much. It could be just a shitty teen comedy. Maybe it's because it stirs up some nostalgia for shitty teen comedies of the past. Comedies that were not PG-13 and totally pussified. Enjoy this clip, which has some NSFW language (you might want to turn down your speakers in the office a little bit) . . . but then again . . . if you're here already, with all the other posts, then you're not afraid of a little NSFW-action. Fuck PG-13.

Superbad R-Rated Trailer
It would appear that Sony Pictures is doing something right when it comes to the marketing campaign for their upcoming movie "Superbad". They're releasing mature content over the internet. They do require that you go through a pretty retarded age verification process, but the payout is sublime. The trailer, which I thought was pretty brilliant before, now makes me want to definitely pay money to see this. Anyway, check it out here and bust out your fake ID's . . . McLovin.
